It s so bright, sweet, fresh, and delicious every bite is just delightful! This Elegant Orange Cake really is super-simple and easy to make from scratch. The oranges in this case add a very pleasant flavor. The smooth buttercream adds a very rich smooth texture. The perfect desert for dessert, breakfast, snack or tea.

For our recipe we will start with our orange mixture. Using your own home-reared or freshly picked oranges, measure out enough dry orange pulp to cover the whole bottom of one measuring cup. You may have to press this mixture down into the measuring cup with your fingers to get the juice from the oranges. Add your first four eggs. Using a wire whisk, beat the egg mixture until it is completely mixed.

Now it is time to mix the other ingredients including the baking powder, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and yogurt. In a bowl or container you will want to place all of these items. Mix the dry ingredients together and then add the wet mixture and the wet to the dry. Cover the entire mixing mixture with your finger and then fold in the orange cake mix. Make sure that the orange cake mix is totally covered by the mix.

Next you will need to preheat your oven. Line a baking sheet with your self-cleaning or lined plastic pan and then preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line your second dish with your fruit mixture and then place your first cake pan on top of your first cake and in turn placing your orange cake on top of your second cake.

The next step is to assemble your orange buttercream. Gather your wet ingredients together and then add your orange cake mix. Pour this mixture over your wet ingredients. Once this is done you will then spread this over your cakes batter. Allow the cake to sit for about five minutes so that the cake batter can fully dry.

Now you will want to add your all-purpose flour, milk, and sugar into your mixer. Then start and knead your orange cake recipes until they are smooth and elastic. When you are satisfied with the end result, you will then cover your freshly made cake in an airtight container and then store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to two weeks before you have to cut it.

Now it is time to remove the cover on your dessert and cut off the pieces that have the dried orange zest. You will then want to remove the pieces and transfer them to a food processor. You will then use your electric meat grinders to chop these up even more. Once you have chopped them all up well, you will then take your sugar and brown the sugar until they have all been reduced to a consistency that is a little bit thinner than wet cake batter.

Next, you will want to place your prepared orange cake into a large bowl and add in the preheated oven. The orange should pop out easily as it will be heated through. When this is done you will then want to remove from the oven and set aside. You should then set your food processor on low. This will ensure that your cake comes out hot so you can then use a large non stick frying pan to cook the cake in.

Once the cake has come out hot, you will then turn the oven off and allow it to cool for about an hour. Once the hour has passed, you can then go ahead and preheat your oven to go ahead and bake the cake in it. Once the cake is baked, you should remove it from the pan and place it into your large bowl that has been lined with wax paper. You will then spray the inside of the bowl with nonstick cooking spray and put it in the freezer until you are ready to serve.

After the cake has cooled completely, you will then need to preheat your oven again. Spray the inside of your baking pans with nonstick cooking spray and preheat your oven for a minute. Once your oven has preheated, you can then pour your batter onto your cake pans. You will then turn your oven on to the lowest setting and begin to bake your cakes. Make sure that you do not over bake or else the cake will start to shrink.

When the cake comes out done, you will spoon some of the cake batter onto your fingers and begin to roll it out. Make sure you smooth out the entire surface of the cake. Then you will spoon in your orange juice and mix together. After the orange juice mixture has completely mixed together, you will spoon this batter into your pastry bags with the rest of your ingredients. Now all that is left is to follow the steps above for making your homemade ice cream cake.
