Does drinking salt water for health mean that I should go on a bender? Definitely not! But many people who have heard of drinking salt water for health do go on such benders, not out of choice, but because it is required.
Many people claim that such salt water is good for the health benefits and that some of these benefits include: detoxification, strengthening the immune system, anti-aging, cleansing and relieving stress. Some people say that drinking salt water for health can even help reduce the symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome.
When a person is on a diet, it is very hard to drink several bottles of water every day without experiencing nausea. This is not very healthy, is it? So many health experts encourage people to cut down on their water intake because they believe it would be a bad idea to drink much more than that. Some believe it is better to drink less, as less water equals less humidity in the body and hence less bloating.
But there are health benefits to drinking such as detoxification. It helps flush out harmful chemicals and toxins from the body, which can be taken into the blood stream, so there is less chance of becoming ill from taking too much water or salt water.
